A 20-year-old Kent man was kidnapped at gunpoint Monday at about 9:30 p.m. while he was talking on his phone in the parking lot of a restaurant on Southwest Seventh Street, according to Renton police.

The man told officers he saw two men sitting in a car near his, but he didn’t pay much attention to them. Less that five minutes later, the two men approached his car. One opened the passenger door, a gun under his shirt. He told the man to drive.

The second man got into the rear seat. According to the police report, this man grabbed the hood of Jackson’s sweatshirt and put a gun to the back of his neck.

The suspect in the passenger seat had two guns, one he put to the victim’s cheek and the second one he pushed into his body.

He told the victim again to drive. The victim told them to take the car, but they told him to drive south on Rainier Avenue, according to the report.

The victim was forced to drive to Tukwila near Southcenter Mall, where he was ordered onto the ground. He was told that if he moved, they would shoot him, according to the report. He lied face down and the suspect from the back seat searched his pockets.

The suspects took the man’s wallet and cell phone and drove off in his car, a 2005 Dodge Magnum. The victim flagged down a passing motorist, who called police. Tukwila officers then called the Renton Police Department. The victim was then interviewed where the kidnapping occurred in Renton.

His car was recovered Tuesday at about 5:20 a.m. in a parking lot on South 258th Place in Kent. The car didn’t appear to be damaged and the keys were missing.
