First meeting to explain new garbage, recycling routine in Renton is Saturday

The City of Renton and Waste Management are holding informational meeting about changes to the city’s garbage and recycling service scheduled to begin in January.

The new service features:

● More recycling options

● Wheeled carts – no more heavy cans and bins

● Single-container recycling – no sorting

● Every other week garbage collection

At the meetings, residents can check out the new garbage and recycling carts, get tips for reducing

waste, and learn about the services and rates planned for 2009.
