Friday, July 12 is the final day to register for the Renton River Days Chalk Art Event, where artists are encouraged to transform Renton streets into artistic masterpieces.

According to the Renton Arts Commission, the Chalk Art Competition is a “vibrant celebration of creativity and community, bringing together artists of all ages and backgrounds to showcase their talents through chalk art.”

The event will take place during Renton River Days on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the theme “Where Community Grows.”

It is free to register and artists will be supplied with two boxes of pastels, a reserved spot and the chance to win the People’s Choice Award and the Judge’s Selection Award, along with a $1,000 cash prize for the best design.
