Highline College has been placed on lockdown Friday morning following reports of gunfire on campus.
Preliminary reports show that police are on the scene and evacuating buildings. The college warned the public via social media that “this is not a drill” and to stay away from the campus. Facebook commenters have reported that multiple gunshots were heard near the east side of the campus, 2400 S. 240th St. in Des Moines.
