Annual Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast set for Saturday

The breakfast, which honors seniors for the many ways they contribute to making Renton a great community to live, will include pancakes, eggs, sausages, fruit and assorted beverages, all prepared by Knights of Columbus volunteers.

The Knights of Columbus will host their 30th annual pancake breakfast this saturday at the Renton Senior Center.

The breakfast, which honors seniors for the many ways they contribute to making Renton a great community to live, will include pancakes, eggs, sausages, fruit and assorted beverages, all prepared by  Knights of Columbus volunteers from St. Anthony and St. Stephen the Martyr Parishes.

“We’ve been doing this breakfast as part of our mission to serve the community for 30 years,” Miguel Quiroz, Grand Knight of the Knights of Council at St. Anthony Parish, said in a press release. “We flipped nearly 19,000 pancakes during this time.”

Just for some perspective, the Knights say a stack of 19,000 pancakes would be taller than the space needle – by a full 186 feet!

Dan Kellogg, longtime Estate Attorney in Renton and Kent contributed funding for the food for the event and has done so for the prior three years. The Knights of Columbus thank him for this support.

The free breakfast runs from 8 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Renton Senior Activity Center, 211 Burnett Ave.
