ALERT, SR 169: Car-pedestrian accident blocking lanes near Renton

A car vs. pedestrian collision was blocking both directions of State Route 169 from Southeast 216th Way to Southeast Jones Road in Renton Tuesday evening, according to the Washington state Department of Transportation.

The accident happened at about 5:30 p.m.

The King County Sheriff’s Office, aid crews and the Washington State Patrol are on the scene. The transportation department sent its Incident Response Team.

Drivers headed north on SR 169 can get around the scene by taking a right at SE 216th Way, a left on 244th Ave. SE, and a left on westbound SR 18. Drivers will then exit at SE 231st St, where they will then turn right onto SE 231st St, and then right on SE Petrovitsky Road, a right on 196th Ave. SE, and a left onto SR 169. Southbound drivers can turn left on 196th Ave. SE, left on SE Petrovitsky Road, left on SE 231st St. and right on SR 169.
