Accidental bumping leads to stabbing | Renton police blotter

Parking lot rage: At 4:35 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 700 block of Rainier Ave. S., an officer responded to a collision. The victim told the officer he was holding a parking stall for his wife when a man driving a black sedan attempted to park there. The driver told the victim to move, but the victim stated the spot was taken. The driver said he didn’t care and kept moving forward. The victim attempted to move out of the way, but then the driver drove the car over the victim’s foot. The investigation into fourth-degree assault is ongoing.

Accidental bumping leads to stabbing: At 5:56 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 200 block of Rainier Ave. S., officers responded to a stabbing. The victim stated he had been walking on S. 2nd Street when he accidentally bumped into a man. The victim said the man then stabbed him in the wrist. The victim said he did not know the man and had never seen him before. The investigation is ongoing.

Juvenile robbery suspect: At about 12:53 a.m. Feb. 26 in the 10400 block of SE 174th Street, an officer was flagged down by a female who stated she had been assaulted and threatened with a weapon, and her case was stolen. The victim was able to describe the car. The vehicle and one of the suspects, a 16-year-old male, were captured in Kent. A loaded Glock with an extended magazine was later discovered inside the stolen vehicle.

Armed robbery: At 4:07 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 2800 block of NE Sunset Blvd., officers responded to an armed robbery. The victim said she came out of a store and saw a man sitting in the driver’s seat of her car. She confronted the man, and he pointed a black handgun at her. He took her backpack and car keys, then fled the scene in a burgundy pickup truck. The investigation is ongoing.

Trespasser found with fentanyl: At 8:08 a.m. Feb. 28, an officer was patrolling the BNSF train tracks and located a man loitering on BNSF property. The officer contacted the individual and informed him that he was being trespassed from the area as BNSF did not want people on the property. The subject left, and the officer then learned he had a warrant for his arrest from Bellevue. The officer re-contacted the subject and arrested him. During a search after the arrest, the officer located suspected drugs in the suspect’s pockets. The drugs tested positive for fentanyl. The suspect was booked into jail.
