$126,000 raised for Vision House

Nearly 350 people attended the recent NoHomelessKids Benefit Lunch, raising more than $126,000 to help homeless families rebuild their lives at Vision House.

Nearly 350 people attended the recent NoHomelessKids Benefit Lunch, raising more than $126,000 to help homeless families rebuild their lives at Vision House.

Meeghan Black of KING 5’s Evening Magazine emceed the lunch, with Seattle Seahawks’ Josh Wilson and his wife Jazmin as honorary chairs. Also, the EriAm Sisters, semi-finalists on “America’s Got Talent” and Renton residents, performed a heart-touching song. One of the Vision House mothers shared her story about escaping a domestic violence situation and living in her car with her two daughters.

Founders John and Susan Camerer launched Vision House in 1990 with just $800 and a dream to help homeless families restore their lives. Since then, nearly 700 children, women and men have received housing and support services to regain self-sufficiency and make a fresh start in life.

Vision House has 23 apartments for mothers and children, a resident community center and a fully licensed child care center in Renton.
