‘The Nutcracker’ returns to Evergreen City Ballet

Array

It’s the time of year when a Sugar Plum Fairy, a Rat King, a Prince and a little girl make for an enchanted night.

The Evergreen City Ballet is presenting “The Nutcracker” in Renton and Auburn.

With new costumes and cast changes the production promises to excite and enchant the young and not so young. In a ballet school full of different personalities, for Artistic Director Kevin Kaiser, it’s fun matching the personalities to the different parts such as the Russian and Spanish dances, he said.

The choreography is basically the same, but changes a little from year to year.

The Evergreen City Ballet is headquarted in Renton. It presents a number of productions throughout the year.
