Renton Winter Lights illuminate Gene Coulon Park

Despite the wind and rain, folks from all over came out to Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park on Friday, Dec. 1, for the Renton Winter Lights Opening Night.

At 6 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived and took photos with park guests as a singalong took place at the North Shelter in the park. The “Parade of Boats” from the Rainier Yacht Club and the arrival of the Argosy Christmas Ship also brought beautiful illumination to the park and south Lake Washington.
