Renton Rotary Club has selected its Youth of the Month for May.

Sunishchal Dev

• Sunishchal Dev is a senior at Hazen High School. Dev holds a 3.9 grade point average.  He has been involved in FBLA, has held vice president and president positions, DECA, National Honor Society, Ignite, Highlander Club, breakfast club, ping pong club, jazz band and tennis. Dev has received FBLA Regional awards, and jazz band’s Most Improved Award. He works part-time as an instructor at Washington Black Belt Academy and volunteers with Boy Scouts of America, and the YMCA. Dev plans to attend the University of Washington to study business and would like to open his own martial arts academy.

Tatyana Lats

• Tatyana Lats is a senior at Lindbergh High School. She holds a 3.9 GPA.  Lats has been a member of National Honor Society, Key Club and Ignite Mentoring. She has received the Masonic Lodge Outstanding Junior Award, Student of the Year and Student of the Month Awards in various subjects. Lats spends time volunteering with the Church of Grace and Key Club. She plans to attend Seattle Pacific University where she would like to earn a bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology and hopes to attend graduate school to obtain a doctorate.

Saugat Chhetri

• Saugat Chhetri is a senior at Renton High School. He holds a 3.5 GPA. Chhetri is involved in National Honor Society, science club, cross country, as team captain, wrestling, as team captain, and track and field. He has received the honor roll award, MVP and most inspirational awards in wrestling and cross country and WIAA Cross Country State Participant Award. Chhetri volunteers with the Seattle Marathon, Dawg Dash and NatureConsortium. He plans to attend a four-year college to earn a degree in pharmaceuticals.
