Renton woman injured in fatal motorcycle crash Sunday

A Stanwood man was killed and a Renton woman injured in a motorcycle accident late Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Tukwila, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The state patrol identified the deceased man as 55-year-old Rory Hinton. The 54-year-old Renton woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment; she was reported in satisfactory condition Monday.

According to the state patrol, Hinton was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson southbound on I-5 at about 5:45 p.m. He took the Southcenter Boulevard exit but hit a curb in the gorepoint and lost control of the motorcycle, according to the patrol.

The Renton woman was a passenger on the motorcycle; both of them were wearing helmets, according to the patrol.

The roadway was blocked for three hours.
