UPDATE: Family members of the woman found injured Wednesday on Interstate 405 have identified her to the police. According to Renton PD, the family saw coverage in the media asking for help and contacted the police.
ORIGINAL STORY: Renton police are asking for assistance in identifying a woman found injured early Wednesday on Interstate 405. According to police, it appears the woman jumped or fell from the Northeast 44th Street overpass.
She is described as a light-skinned white woman about 5 foot 7 inches tall with reddish brown hair and a medium build, approximately 35-45 years old. The victim was wearing white running shoes, black stretch pants, a purple workout shirt, and a black light-weight jacket. She was also wearing a wedding ring.
She was transported to Harborview with life threatening injuries.
Police were called to scene at about 6:30 a.m. May. 8. It does not appear that she was struck by a vehicle.
