Fake phone from Facebook marketplace: At 12:08 a.m.Jan. 25 in the 1200 block of North Landing Way, an officer was dispatched by phone to take a report of a theft. The victim told the officer that he set up a meeting to purchase an iPhone 17 Max Pro on Facebook Marketplace at the location. After he met up and purchased the phone from the suspect, he noticed the phone was operating poorly and determined it was fake. The case is under investigation.

Threats with a firearm: At 5:33 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 400 block of Whitworth Avenue South, officers responded to a report of physical domestic violence involving a firearm. Dispatch relayed that the reporting party stated her sister’s boyfriend had a gun and was threatening people in the home. Officers arrived and detained the suspect without incident. The suspect allowed officers to search the home, and officers located a loaded magazine and a firearm. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail.

Methamphetamine possession: At 8:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 1000 block of South Third Street, an officer on patrol conducted a subject stop. The officer contacted two subjects who had drug paraphernalia and an unknown substance in their possession. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Both were arrested and trespassed from the location.

Guests using drugs: At 10:51 p.m.Jan. 27 in the 3700 block of East Valley Road, officers were dispatched to a report of drug activity in progress. The reporting party informed officers that guests were using drugs in rooms they rented and requested the occupants be removed. Officers contacted the subjects in both rooms and asked them to leave. One subject had suspected narcotics in her possession and was booked into jail.

Person robbed: At 5:32 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 100 block of Mill Avenue South, an officer working a security detail was advised of a robbery that had occurred. The victim told officers that three subjects had stolen his belongings and fled on foot. The suspects were located and detained. The victim later advised officers he no longer wanted to be a victim of a crime, and all suspects were released.
