On Friday, Dec. 5, the City of Renton and Ivar’s kicked off the annual Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park holiday lights. With the return of Councilmember Ruth Pérez and her husband, Renton Rotarian Al Ralston, as Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus, families lined up for photo opportunities, food, holiday music and thousands of lights, not caring that the high winds were whipping through the park.

Enjoy the daily Clam Lights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Sunday, Jan. 4. The park is located at 1201 Lake Washington Boulevard North in Renton.
