On Saturday, July 19, the Renton Civic Theatre will hold a one-night fundraiser Miscast Cabaret, where there will be an “unforgettable evening of music, laughter and surprise.”
A “bold and hilarious” twist on traditional cabaret, the event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will showcase local performers Lisa Stromme Warren, Kiki Werner, Chloe Cook, Brian Pucheu, Mariesa Genzale, Cassi Q Kohl, Kyle Laird, Jeffery Wallace II, Kawika Huston, Noel Pederson-Walker, Eleanor Withrow, Charlotte Warren and Lucy Warren.
With a fundraising goal of $5,000, money made during the Miscast Cabaret will go toward new, high-quality microphones for stage productions.
Tickets are on sale now with a minimum payment of $25, with the option of donating more.
The Renton Civic Theatre is currently hosting the Session 1 Youth Drama Camp, which will last until July 18 presenting “Willy Wonka Kids,” and will hold Session 2 from July 21 to Aug. 1, where local kids will perform “The Lion King Kids.”
