Renton History Museum to present story of famed photojournalist

The Renton History Museum will present the story of photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White on March 8.

Lynne Iglitzin will tell the story of this pioneer at 5 p.m. at the museum.

Bourke-White is considered a trailblazer of the early 20th century, who pioneered new techniques in photojournalism and opened the doors for women in the industry.

She was a photographer for LIFE Magazine and brought photos of the 1940s images of World War II home to many Americans.

The Renton History Museum is at 235 Mill Ave. S. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children and free to members.
