'Black White and Blues' is the opening-night film for the Seattle International Film Festival in Renton Friday night.

It’s going to feel like Hollywood in Renton tonight. Even the weather is warm.

The Seattle International Film Festival opens in Renton at 7:30 p.m. with a screening of “Black White and Blues” at the IKEA Performing Arts Center at Renton High School,  followed by the opening-night gala at the Renton Pavilion Event Center across the street.

As of mid-Friday morning, some tickets were still available for the opening-night events. The box office at IPAC will open at 4 p.m. today for will-call customers and for ticket sales.

Of course, tickets for the screenings through Thursday night can be purchased online or at the IPAC box office before each screening.

The SIFF-Renton Film Guide was distributed in the May 6 Renton Reporter and is available online. Film guides are also available at the IPAC.

The IPAC and the Renton Pavilion Event Center will feel like Hollywood, with a diverse sampling of cuisine from eight Renton restaurants. There’ll be beer and wine. The producer of the opening-night film, Jeff Balis, will attend.
