Students launch careers through apprenticeship program

Eleven Renton juniors were hired June 27 in an event at the Museum of Flight to work in aerospace manufacturing through the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee state wide program.

Gov. Jay Inslee and others honored the students during a signing day ceremony.

The students represent the next generation of aerospace workers through this paid training and tuition free courses at Renton Technical College.

The committee first launched its apprenticeship program in 2017.
