A public meeting is planned for Saturday (April 2), hosted by King County and the Skyway Water and Sewer District to provide community members with information about an upcoming sewer improvement project in the Lakeridge neighborhood.
The meeting is 10-11:30 a.m. at the office of the Skyway Water and Sewer District, 6723 S. 124th St., Skyway.
This year King County will invest $5.8 million to partner with the Skyway Water and Sewer District on a project to control infiltration and inflow, or I/I, which is the stormwater and groundwater that gets into the regional sewer system through cracked, leaky sewer lines.
Such flows take up capacity in sewer pipes and costs money to collect and treat.
