Hazen takes tough loss; Renton and Lindbergh fall | Boys basketball

Hazen’s playoff chances slipped away with a 52-46 loss to Highline Friday.
The Highlanders (11-8 overall, 7-8 Seamount) led off the game with a 12-7 run, but the Pirates countered and the teams were tied at the half.
Highline opened a five-point lead in the third and held on for the win.
R.J. Magar led Hazen with 13 points. Decourious Sampson added seven.
Hazen is 2.5 games out of the last playoff spot with one game left.
Evergreen 57, Renton 48
Renton couldn’t hold off a late push by Evergreen and lost 57-48 Friday.
The Indians (9-9, 9-5) are now tied with the Wolverines for fourth place in the Seamount.
Darrin Briggs led Renton with 15 points.
Foster 72, Lindbergh 51
Lindbergh couldn’t get its feet until it was too late. The Eagles fell to Foster 72-51 Friday.
The Eagles (2-13, 1-13) were outscored in every quarter until the fourth.
James Keum led Lindbergh with 16 points.
