Sheriff’s department searching for two men involved in Newcastle bank robbery

The suspects, described as two black males dressed in dark clothing, ran from the bank with an unknown amount of money. At least one of the suspects ran east from the area.

Two men with masks and guns took over and robbed the Bank of America in Newcastle late Monday afternoon.

Bellevue Police and a Renton K9 unit assisted Newcastle Police and King County deputies.

“These violent crimes are the most important cases to the Sheriff’s Office and the Safe Streets Task Force,” said King County Detective Mike Mellis.

Police are asking anyone who was in Newcastle at the time of the robbery and observed any suspicious activity to report what they saw to the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
