Puget Sound Energy is hosting family-friendly energy efficiency-themed fairs in late July.
The fairs are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 30 and 31 at the Renton Fred Meyer, 365 Renton Center Way S.W.
PSE residential electric customers can exchange up to 10 incandescent bulbs for free ENERGY STAR®-qualified energy-efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. At these retail events, customers can participate in activity stations to learn about ways to lower home energy use, enter to win efficient appliances from Whirlpool, and receive other prizes from campaign sponsors.
Customers also have a chance to enter PSE’s Solar Power Sweepstakes by signing up to voluntarily purchase Green Power and compete for a free residential solar-power system worth $10,000, no purchase is required.
There will be PSE representatives available who are fluent in several languages to accommodate non-English-speaking customers. They will also be available to discuss energy efficiency tips.
The Re-Energize Tour will save customers more than $9.4 million over the life of the bulbs and prevent more than 50.8 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions – the equivalent of taking more than 4,200 cars off the road. For more information, visit www.PSE.com.
