Armed carjacking outside home | Renton police blotter

Uncooperative shooting victim: At 8:20 a.m. Jan. 17 in the 400 block of South 43rd Street, officers were dispatched to a report of a victim suffering a gunshot wound who arrived at the hospital. Officers contacted the victim, who was not cooperative with the investigation. The victim’s injuries were documented, and he received treatment for them.

Violent roommate: At 10 a.m. Jan. 22, officers were dispatched to take a report of an assault at the Renton Police Department at 1055 South Grady Way. The victim told officers that on Jan. 18, he, his roommate, and a group of friends were leaving an establishment in the 700 block of Logan Avenue South. During a ride home in the vehicle, he and his roommate were in a verbal argument. The roommate then took out a firearm, then assaulted and threatened the victim. The case is under investigation.

Gun during road rage: At noon Jan. 18 at Talbot Road South and South Grady Way, officers responded to a report of a threat with a gun. While en route, dispatch advised the victim left the scene. An officer contacted the victim over the phone, who stated she was driving north on Talbot when a vehicle cut her off. She honked her horn. A short time later, the suspect vehicle drove alongside the victim and pulled a gun from inside the car and pointed it at her. An area check was performed, and the suspect vehicle was not located. The case has been forwarded to investigations.

Armed carjacking: At 5:50 p.m. Jan. 20 in the 200 block of Burnett Avenue North, officers were dispatched for an armed carjacking. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated she was parked outside her home when two males approached her car. One male opened the driver’s side door and demanded she exit the vehicle, then pointed a firearm at her. The second suspect opened the passenger side door and made a similar demand. He also had a firearm in his hand. The victim exited the vehicle, and both suspects drove away in the car. An area check was conducted, and the vehicle was not located. The case is still under investigation.

Confrontation leads to gun pulled: At 1:49 p.m. Jan. 21 in the 400 block of South Grady Way, officers responded to a report of a threat with a gun. When officers arrived, they contacted the victim, who stated he was pulling out of the parking lot when the suspect vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed and nearly hit his car. The victim approached the suspect’s vehicle about his driving, and the front passenger responded by pulling out a handgun. The driver then drove away. Officers located the suspect’s unoccupied vehicle nearby and impounded it. The investigation is ongoing.
