Emergency repair work on I-405 planned for tonight in Renton

Late night drivers should prepare for possible delays on northbound Interstate 405 as Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will perform emergency repair work tonight on a loose steel joint on the bridge over state Route 169 in Renton.

Multiple lanes of the highway will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, Tuesday and should be back open for the morning commute.

Maintenance crews will close the HOV lane at 10 p.m. The center lane will close at 11 p.m.

All lanes will reopen to traffic by 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
