Schools closed, City Hall open on Monday

Monday marks the annual Presidents’ Day holiday and while schools will be closed, City Hall will be open.

The day is considered a Council Holiday, however, so all council committee meetings, as well as the regular City Council meeting, usually scheduled for Monday nights, have been canceled.

The holiday will also not affect garbage collection.

For the Renton School District, Monday marks the beginning of the Mid-Winter Break. School will re-open Feb. 23.

In addition, the Renton Reporter offices will be closed in honor of Presidents’ Day.
