UPDATE: Police searching for suspect who cut clerk’s throat during robbery Wednesday

UPDATE 4:19 p.m.: Police have released a new photo of the suspect. The victim was reported in stable condition Wednesday evening.
Renton High School and St. Anthony School were put in lockdown around 11 a.m., Wednesday morning, because of a robbery/stabbing that occurred at GameStop, a retail store in the 200 block of South Second Street.
After entering the store, the suspect held a knife to the lone store clerk’s throat. He then walked her behind the counter and slit her throat. Then he took all the money from the cash register and fled the store on foot.
A 23-year-old woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center from the scene, with significant injuries.
Police are still searching for the suspect and a K9 unit was deployed.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, around 6 feet tall and heavyset. He was wearing a yellow or tan coat with black pants and a black backpack.
Police got the call at 10:58 a.m. and Detectives were still on the scene around noon.
Police said that the man should be considered extremely dangerous, based on his actions. The public is asked to contact Detective Montemayor of the Renton Police, with any information about the suspect. His number is 425-430-7500; refer to case 15-537.
