Two injured Wednesday in shooting on I-405

Two people were injured when shots were fired into their vehicle southbound on Interstate 405 in Renton at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Renton Police Department.
The Washington State Patrol initially investigated, but troopers were unable to locate a victim.
Seattle Police officers contacted two gunshot victims about a half hour later in south Seattle.
The gunshot victims were apparently riding in a white, four-door sedan on I-405, when they were hit by gunfire from another vehicle; both suffered wounds that are believed to be non-life-threatening, according to Renton Police.
Initially it was thought the shooting occurred in Tukwila, but additional investigation determined the shooting occurred in Renton.
Renton Police are asking that anyone who witnessed any activity related to this shooting call 425-430-7500 and refer to case 13-8201.
Even if witnesses have spoken about this to any other law enforcement agency, they are asked to call Renton Police directly to make sure that the department has all relevant information.
