Renton motorcyclist injured in I-405 accident

A 24-year-old Renton man riding his motorcycle on northbound I-405 was injured in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was reported in serious condition in Harborview’s intensive-care unit Thursday morning.
The motorcycles was just south of the Sunset Boulevard Northeast overpass at about 3:15 p.m. when he attempted to change lanes, according to the state patrol.
He collided with an Audi station wagon driven by a Newcastle woman. He was then struck by a Chevrolet Impala driven by a Seattle man and was trapped underneath the vehicle, according to the state patrol.
The state patrol is investigating the accident.
