Red Cross looking for King County heroes to honor

The American Red Cross of King and Kitsap Counties is looking for local heroes to recognize at their Heroes Breakfast.

Anyone who has performed a heroic act such as saving a life by using CPR, raising funds to help someone in need or saving someone from a burning building are encouraged to be nominated.

On March 27, 2012, the organization will present awards to local heroes who saved lives, exemplified the Red Cross mission or made significant, positive differences in their communities in emergency response, preparedness and prevention.

The nominee must be a resident of, or employed within, King County or the heroic act must have occurred in King County. The heroic act must be ongoing or have occurred between Dec. 1, 2010, and Nov. 30, 2011.
