Renton Rotary Club honors Teachers of the Month for May

The Rotary Club of Renton has honored two Teachers of the Month for May
Josh Viles
• Josh Viles is the choral music teacher at Hazen High School. He attended Western Washington University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in music education and choral conducting. In addition to teaching, Viles has been involved in the Soundview Region Music Educators Association and has served as president. He is also part of the Washington chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association and serves as the Repertoire and Standards Chair for the Men’s Choirs. Viles has been a teacher in Renton for seven years.
Tracie Brown
• Tracie Brown is a second-grade teacher at Campbell Hill Elementary. Brown attended Seattle University where she earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in liberal arts. She then earned her master’s in teaching at SU. Before teaching in Renton, Brown worked as a nutritional educator for Washington State University’s cooperative extension program. During the summer months, she enjoys traveling with her children. This is Brown’s ninth year teaching in Renton.
