As ballots roll out for the 2010 General Election, I wanted to take a moment to pass on my reasons for re-electing Rep. Marcie Maxwell for the 41st District. I have known Rep. Maxwell for more than 10 years. Her integrity, tireless efforts and genuine care for our community continue to be my primary reasons for continuing to support her. She has been consistent in her positions. Her positions are based on her first-hand experience and knowledge with critical issues, especially in public education, the arena in which I know her most. Despite the challenging political climate we’re in, Rep. Maxwell’s integrity and profound interest in her constituents keeps her grounded and in touch with those she serves. She has always been a quiet but powerful source of inspiration and leadership. I have been thoroughly impressed with how she has remained connected with her base constituency of Renton while extending her network to connect with the residents in other communities. In closing, as a veteran public educator, Rep Maxwell has always represented my voice, my interests, and my positions consistently well and with great character. She is a class act. I am proud and feel extremely grateful that Representative Maxwell represents me in Olympia. She shares her voice in a manner to cast favorable light on our region and the issue I care about most, public education. Please join me in re-electing Rep. Marcie Maxwell for the 41st District.
