Seahawks president and general manager Tim Ruskell is expected to resign at a news conference this morning.
Ruskell took over in 2005, the Seahawks’ most successful season in franchise history. The team went 13-3 in the regular season and advanced to the Super Bowl for the first time in team history. Seattle would lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10 in the Super Bowl.
Seattle has dropped to 8-19 the past two seasons.
Ruskell’s best move appears to be the drafting of Lofa Tatupu in the second round. Tatupu made the Pro Bowl his first four years.
His most questionable one was allowing left guard Steve Hutchinson to leave in 2006.
