Seahawks: Team signs Lawyer Milloy to replace Brian Russell

The Seattle Seahawks signed safety Lawyer Milloy to a one-year contract.

The move coincided with the Seahawks terminating free safety Brian Russell’s contract. Milloy’s contract is for one season.

Milloy is a 13-year NFL veteran. He played for the Atlanta Falcons the past three years, one under coach Jim Mora.

Milloy is from Tacoma and played college football at Washington.

Russell played two seasons with Seattle, starting all 32 games, and would have made $2.1 million this season.
