Renton takes eighth at Timberline invite, Aaron Garcia wins at 112 pounds | Wrestling

The Renton wrestling team finished eighth at the Timberline Invitationals Dec. 5.

The Indians dominated at 112 pounds, Renton’s Aaron Garcia beat teammate Saugat Chhetri 12-0 in the championship match.

Garcia picked up two pins, each in less than 1:45 on his way to the title match.

Chhetri also had two pins and won by a 9-8 decision in earlier action.

Chris Tueng went 1-2 at 130 pounds, losing twice by decision and winning by pin. Loung Sy went 1-2 at 135 pounds. Emmanuel Martinez went 1-2 with a pin at 145 pounds.

At 152 pounds, Khen Untalon took fourth after winning three times to one loss. Brian Vo went 2-2 at 160 pounds. Luke Bartlett went 2-2 at 189 pounds. Martin Hooker went 0-2 at 285 pounds.
