With the regular season officially behind us, the Seamount League seeds for the West Central District Tournament have been announced and all three Renton-area schools will send both boys and girls teams to the postseason.
On the girls side, Renton earned the top spot in the 2A tournament, finishing the season with a 14-7 overall record and a 12-2 league finish. They will play the KingCo No.2 seed on Feb. 11 at Renton High School.
Lindbergh, who ended the season at 11-9 overall and 8-6 in the league will be the second seed. They will take on the Olympic League No. 3 seed on Feb. 11 at Lindbergh.
Foster earned the third spot with a 5-9 overall record. They will play the South Puget Sound league No. 3 seed. Tyee is the fourth seed and will play KingCo No. 1 seed.
In the 3A tournament, the Seamount-leading Hazen girls team earned the No. 1 seed with a 13-1 record in the league (16-4 overall). They will play the Greater St. Helens League No. 3 seed on Feb. 11 at Hazen.
Kennedy Catholic earned the Seamount No. 2 seed with their 10-4 league record and will play at the Narrows League No. 1 seed.
On the boys side of the brackets, Lindbergh earned the top 2A seed, finishing the year with a 10-4 league record. They will play the KingCo No. 2 seed on Feb. 10 at Lindbergh.
Renton gets the No. 2 seed, finishing the year with a 9-5 league record. They will host the Olympic League No. 3 seed on Feb. 10.
Highline earned the third seed and will play at the SPSL No. 3 seed on Feb. 10. Tyee will be the fourth seed and will play at the KingCo No. 1 seed Feb. 10.
On the 3A side, Kennedy and their Seamount-leading 12-2 league record earned the top seed and will host the Greater St. Helens League No. 3 seed on Feb. 10.
Hazen, who finished the year 10-5 in the league, is the second seed and will travel to the Narrows League No. 1 seed on Feb. 10.
