Renton girls clobber Fife in postseason opener | GIRLS BASKETBALL

Led by Taylor Farris and her 25 points, the Indians jumped out to a 17-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.

The Renton High School girls basketball team rode a big first quarter all the way to victory Thursday against Fife in the the first game of the postseason and will play the Sumner Spartans on Saturday for the district championship.

Jordan Armstrong also added 10 points in the win for Renton.

The victory brings Renton’s overall record to 17-2.

The Indians will face Sumner at 6 p.m. Saturday at Clover Park High School for the no. 1 seed heading into the district tournament next week.
