Logan Briggs wins two events, breaks meet record as Patriots take third at KingCo meet | Swim & dive

Liberty's Logan Briggs was the only double-event winner and the Patriots took third at the KingCo boys swimming championships Feb. 3-4. Briggs won the 200 free and the 100 back. He broke a meet record in the 100 back, with a time of 54.07 seconds (old record was 54.40). Junior Raymond Ha also came away with a win in the 100 back.

Briggs won the 200 free and the 100 back. He broke a meet record in the 100 back, with a time of 54.07 seconds (old record was 54.40). Junior Raymond Ha also came away with a win in the 100 back.

The Patriots scored 365.5 points, behind Mercer Island in first and Newport in second.

Liberty’s team of Luke Duschl, Ha, Kevin Hays and Briggs finished second in the 200-medley relay.

Briggs won the 200 free. Hays made the final and took 15th.

Freshman Nick Klatt placed second in the 200 IM. Ha took fifth.

Duschl finished 20th in the finals of the 50 free.

Jesse Herrild placed 12th in the one-meter dive competition.

Connor Biehl took 11th in the finals of the 100 fly. Hays finished 12th and Klatt 13th.

Duschl took 16th in the 100 free.

Liberty’s team of Hays, Klatt, Duschl and Briggs finished fifth in the 200-free relay.

Briggs won the 100 back and Biehl placed 14th.

Ha won the 100 breast.

The Patriots’ team of Ha, Biehl, Jarrett Brown and Klatt took 11th in the 400-free relay.
