It was a great spring sports season for many local teams and athletes and the Seamount League’s all-league awards are packed with Renton athletes to prove it.

Among the top awards, Renton schools did very well. Three athletes of the year and two coaches of the year come from our area.

In boys soccer, unbeaten Lindbergh was the league champion and Alex Kirtsov was named Athlete of the Year. Coach Ryan Johnson also earned Coach of the Year honors.

In girls track and field, Lindbergh’s Aauja Brooks was named Athlete of the Year and Hazen coach Shannon Rance was named Coach of the year. Renton earned the Team Sportsmanship award.

In girls tennis, Hazen’s Misa Takami earned Athlete of the Year honors and Renton took the Team Sportsmanship award.

Renton also earned the Team Sportsmanship award in boys track and field, softball and baseball.

Hazen’s Hector Cervantes, Reyes Garcia and Ethan Kem; Lindbergh’s Kirtsov, Matthew Evetts, Tim Reitz ans James Farrell; and Renton’s Zach Hasson.

Girls tennis

Hazen’s Takami and Andressa Chan; and Renton’s Corisa Leon and Xiuhua Wu.

Softball

Hazen’s Monica Cleary and Amira Garza; and Lindbergh’s Taylor Ferneau, Eirra Suarez and Gabrielle Williams.

Baseball

Hazen’s Logan Ricord, Drew Santana (both for third base and pitcher), and Ben Hoeper; and Lindbergh’s Zed Johnson.

Girls track and field

Hazen’s Alexis Rogers for the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races, Kate Lilly for the 800- and 3,200-meter, Sarah Hart for the 1,600, Plamedie Masiala for the 300-meter hurdles, Taliah Coe in the Javelin, Shannon Dickinson in the pole vault, Michelle Lilly in the triple jump, the 4 x100 relay team of Brenna Hairston, Nicole Lenton, Taylor Lenton and Alicia Nguyen, the 4 x 200 relay team of Nicole Lenton, Taylor Lenton, Haley Orozco and Amy Warmenhoven, and the 4 x 400 relay team of Plamedie Marsiala, Haley orozco, Madison Taylor and Amy Warmenhoven; and Lindergh’s Aajua Brooks in the long jump and shot put.

Boys track and field

Hazen’s Keaton Zyowski in the shot put and the 4 x 400 relay team of Dario Cirlincione, Alex Fortesque, Saivon Johnson and Jakob Smith; Lindbergh’s Andrew Tarango in the 300 meter hurdles, Derek Anderson in the high jump and Antonio Lim in the pole vault; and Renton’s Maurice Hunter in the 200 meters and Tai Anthony McMillin in the 400 meters.
