Lindbergh boys, Sarah Reiter win 2A sub-district meet | Cross country

The Lindbergh boys cross-country team won the SPSL/Seamount sub-district meet Oct. 23 at Fort Steilacoom.

The Eagles scored 24 points, ahead of Interlake in second and Renton in third. Luke Garcia took second overall for Lindbergh with a time of 16 minutes, 23.6 seconds.

Mark Garcia (third), Nathan Haley (fourth), Nate Tandecki (sixth), Mohamum Abdi (ninth), Alex Nelson (14th) and Ben Platt (18th) rounded out the Lindbergh boys varsity team.

Saugat Chhetri led the Indians by finishing in 13th. Aslan DaVault (15th), Hamilton Carter (16th), Brian Reilly (17th), Immanuel Carter (40th), Adriel Paine (42nd) and Tyler Pascual (45th) also raced for Renton.

The Lindbergh girls took second, while Sarah Reiter won the race with a time of 18:17.9, the fastest girls time of the day.

Renton took fifth as a team.

Behind Reiter, Anna Patti (sixth), Jasmine Fallgreen (10th), Ariel Hodges (18th), Elizabeth Hansen (21st), Mercedes Tischer (23rd) and Brenna Fisher (28th) ran for the girls team.

Freshman Joy Barnes led Renton with a ninth-place finish. Other Renton runners: Mary Grace Asirot (16th), Amy Tat (26th), Tricia Bui (30th), Dalena Pham (34th), Cynthia Fang (42nd) and Carina Barnes (43rd).
