Liberty grad Lincecum to start for National League in MLB All-star game

Tim Lincecum, the defending Cy Young award winner, has been selected to start for the National League in Tuesday’s MLB All-Star game.

Lincecum attending Liberty High School where he led the Patriots to a state title in 2003. He is currently 10-2 with a 2.33 ERA. He is third in the majors in ERA, behind Dan Haren and Zack Greinke. Lincecum is tied for the league lead in strikeouts with Detroit’s Justin Verlander.
