Liberty quickly put away Mercer Island 9-1 Monday.

The Patriots (11-3 overall, 11-1 KingCo 3A/2A) scored eight runs in the first three innings.

Connor Sjolander pitched six innings for the win. Troy Askins went 1-2 with an RBI and four steals. Troy Colyer went 1-2 with three RBI’s and a home run. Cameron Talley went 2-2 with an RBI and a double.

Lindbergh 2, Interlake 1

Lindbergh edged Interlake 2-1 Monday with a seventh-inning run.

The Eagles (7-4, 6-4) trailed early, but tied the game with a run in the fifth inning. Lindbergh then scored once in the bottom of the seventh on a game-winning RBI from Lawrence Collado.

Ryan White went 2-2. Kyle Bernal and Derrick Holt each went 2-3. Collado also earned the win on the mound with an inning in relief.
