The Liberty boys track team tied for 26th at the state track meet. The Patriots scored eight points, tying with Peninsula and Hudson’s Bay.

Junior Eric Bice placed fifth in the 1600, with a time of 4:17.60.

Peter Stacy placed 15th in the discus. Stacy threw a distance of 130 feet, 11 inches. He placed 16th in the javelin, throwing a distance of 161 feet, four inches.

Mitchell Byron placed 16th in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash.

Liberty’s 4X400 relay team placed eighth in the finals. Devin Bennett, Bice, Troy Solly and Byron ran on the team.

Sophomore Chandler Jenkins placed 16th in the high jump, clearing five feet, 10 inches. Jenkins placed 13th in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump.

Freshman Joshua Gordon placed 14th in the high jump, clearing six feet.
