Liberty baseball comes back in late innings to stay alive

The Liberty Patriots Baseball team will finish at least fourth in the state, thanks to a 4-3 comeback win Saturday over North Kitsap.

The Liberty Patriots Baseball team will finish at least fourth in the state, thanks to a 4-3 comeback win Saturday over North Kitsap.

Liberty fell behind 3-0 before scoring all four of its runs in the final two innings, including three in the final frame, to win the game.

Two North Kitsap errors, including one that led to the final run coming home, helped Liberty to the win.

Earlier in the day, Liberty beat Tumwater 3-0 to advance to the next round.

The Patriots will play Centralia at Yakima County Stadium today, Friday. The winner will advance to the State Championship game on Saturday. The loser will play for third place.
