Hazen junior Lauren Kaufman won the B final at Senior Sectionals March 14.

Kaufman swam a time of 23.50 seconds and beat Juanita’s Emilie Kaufman. Lauren finished second to Emilie in the 3A state swim and dive meet last fall.

The King Aquatic 200 freestyle relay finished second. Kaufman swam the final leg of the relay. She was also part of King’s 400 freestyle relay team that finished seventh, 200 medley relay that finished fourth and 400 medley relay that finished fifth.

Kaufman won a state title in the 100-yard freestyle last fall. She has finished in the top three in a final at state each year since her freshman season.
