Hazen wins league meet, sophomores Talisa Wibmer, Kayla DiMicco each win multiple events | Swim & dive

The Hazen swim and dive team took home the Seamount title this weekend. The Highlanders scored 405 points at the league meet to top second-place Kennedy Catholic with 301. Lindbergh followed in third with 232, and Renton in fourth with 138.

The Highlanders scored 405 points at the league meet to top second-place Kennedy Catholic with 301. Lindbergh followed in third with 232, and Renton in fourth with 138.

Hazen won the 200-yard medley relay. The Highlanders relay was made up of Talisa Wibmer, Kourtney Brunings, Kayla DiMicco and Taylor Gale.

DiMicco went on to also win the 200 free and 100 fly. Wimber won the 200 IM and the 100 free. Hazen freshman Anna Collons won the 100 back. Brunings won the 100 breast.

Hazen’s 400 free relay team (Amy LeBar, Brunings, Wibmer and DiMicco) also won.

 

Lindbergh highlights:

The Eagles’ 200 medley relay (Sarah Batschi, Chelsey Guhlke, Lauren Miller and Kaitlin Zinsli) placed second and swam a district-qualifying time.

Miller and Guhlke both swam district times in the 200 IM. Zinsli swam a district time in the 50 free and 100 free,  and placed second in the 50.

Lindbergh’s team of Guhlke, Brenna Healy, Miller and Zinsli swam a district time in the 200 free relay.

 

Renton highlights:

Junior Eloisa Bautista placed third in the 200 IM and swam a district time.

Jordan Mattheisen and Lynhda Vuong both swam district times in the 100 free. Vuong placed second.

Renton’s team of Mattheisen, Angela Vu, Bautista and Vuong placed third and swam a district time.
