Hazen tops Renton 3-0 | BOYS SOCCER

The win keeps Hazen on top of the Seamount league table with a league record of 7-0-2 and an overall record of 7-1-3.

The Hazen Highlanders soccer team on Wednesday picked up their third consecutive shutout with a 3-0 victory over Renton at Renton Memorial Stadium.

Hazen jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at the two minute mark when senior forward Marcelo Castro scored. Sophomore midfielder Jorman Gonzales assisted.

Castro also had two assists in the second half. His first assist resulted in a goal for senior mid Devin Sando at 47 minutes. The second gave senior season captain and forward Sam Bunnell his 15th goal of the season with 14 minutes left in the game.

It was all senior keeper Freddy Jeronimo, filling in for the injured Jaime “Chino” Martinez, needed en route to his third shutout of the season.
