The Highlander tennis team is back to its winning ways, picking up their second match victory in a row and their seventh in eight tries this season.
On Friday, the Highlanders bested Foster 6-1 in a match at Foster High School.
In first singles, David Vaisar won his match 6-2, 6-1 while third singles player Dylan Kittay won 6-1, 6-2 and Sohil Shah won his fourth singles match 6-1, 6-2. Only second singles player Avelyino Vargas had trouble, falling 3-6, 0-6 in his match.
In doubles play, SonLam Nguyen and Justin Nguyen won their first doubles match 6-1, 6-3 while the second doubles team of Nathan Nagel and Alan Li won 6-1, 6-2. Things were a little tougher for the third doubles pairing of Zach Quesnel and Ryan Ling, but in the end they too were able to pull out a win 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 10-4.
Hazen is now 7-1 on the year and are scheduled to play Highline at home on Wednesday.
