Hazen still leading Seamount, Lindbergh beats Tyee, Renton falls to Kennedy | Baseball

The Lindbergh baseball cruised past Tyee 12-2 Wednesday.

The Eagles (3-2 overall, 3-1 Seamount) scored in the first inning and led throughout the game.

Cameron Callen led the offense, going 4-4 with three runs, three RBI and two steals. Billy Hernandez went 2-2 with two RBI and a run. Brett Love went 2-3 with two RBI. Love also earned the win with two innings on the mound.

Cooper Stevens struck out five in three innings of relieve.

 

Hazen 9, Highline 5

The Hazen baseball team stayed atop the Seamount with a 9-5 against Highline Wednesday.

The Highlanders (4-1, 4-0) led 3-0 before Highline briefly took a 4-3 in the top of the fourth inning. Hazen scored two runs to answer in the bottom of the inning and didn’t trail again.

Zac Kolterman went 2-3 with five RBI for Hazen. Travis Johnson went 2-2 with two runs and an RBI. Alex Gayte and Sam Cook each had RBI singles.

Jimmy Schmidt went 2-3 with a run and an RBI-double at the plate. Schmidt also earned a win on the mound  with a complete game. He allowed 12 hits and no walks while striking out six.

 

Kennedy Catholic 13, Renton 0

The Renton baseball team fell to Kennedy Catholic 13-0 Wednesday.

The Indians (0-3, 0-2) allowed seven runs in the first inning and held the Lancers scoreless over the final two innings.
