Hazen girls stay undefeated with win over Highline | GIRLS TENNIS

The Hazen girls tennis team is now 4-0. The teams are scheduled to play a rematch at Highline on Wednesday.

The Hazen girls tennis team on Monday stayed undefeated with a 5-2 win over Highline at Hazen High School.

First singles player Lesley Wong set the tone with a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Not to be outdone, second singles player Elise Wong cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory of her own ans third singles player Ashley Hwang also battled to a 6-2, 6-1 win.

In fourth singles, NgocThuy Nguyen battled hard in her first set, but dropped the tiebreaker 7-1 and then fell in the second set 6-4.

In doubles play, the first doubles team of Haley Strandberg and Kristal Kozai rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 victory while the third doubles team of Catherine Lin and Kristy Hunyh bested their opponents 7-5, 6-1.

Only the second doubles team of Tina Chung and Naima Shaltu had difficulty, falling 4-6, 3-6.
